Radiographic testing requirement for welds: Grade I
Shielding Gas: CO₂
Precautions:
1.For multi-pass welding, the interpass temperature shall be controlled between 135 °C and 165 °C.
2.The shielding gas flow rate shall be maintained at approximately 15–25 L/min.
3.Prior to welding, remove all impurities from the base metal surface, including rust, primer, oil, grease, carbon-arc gouging scale, and welding slag.
Description:
1. YLF-711 is a gas-shielded flux-cored wire for carbon steels and 490 MPa high-strength steels.
2. It is used with DC reverse polarity (DCEP) and offers deep penetration, making it suitable for applications requiring impact toughness.
3. It provides excellent all-position weldability with low fume emission, a soft and stable arc, complete slag coverage, and very easy slag removal. Radiographic testing performance is excellent.
Applications:
Shipbuilding, offshore drilling platforms, storage tanks, steel structures, boilers, pressure vessels, pipelines, and heavy machinery.
