Precautions:
1. The flux shall be dried at 300–350 °C for 2 hours before use.
2.Prior to welding, impurities such as rust, primer, oil, grease, carbon-arc gouging scale, and welding slag shall be removed from the base metal surface.
3.The flux may be reused, however, at least 20% new flux shall be added each time to maintain the welding process performance and the mechanical properties of the weld metal.
Features and Applications:
l GQ-121 is a fluoride‑basic type flux.
l The weld seam has low contents of impurities, sulfur, and phosphorus, and exhibits high low‑temperature impact toughness.
l The weld seam has a low diffusible hydrogen content, meeting the H5 requirement.
l The combination of GQ121 / H08MnMoTiB offers excellent welding process performance, with stable arc, good bead appearance, and easy slag removal.
l It is suitable for welding base metals with a tensile strength grade of 620 MPa (e.g., X70, X80), and is mainly applied in the pipeline industry.
l Flux particle size: 10–60 mesh
l Flux basicity (BIIW): 1.8
