Submerged arc welding fluxes should be kept in dry storeroom, which is equipped with dehumidifier to control moisture content. Take actions to prevent welding flux to get damp.

Before usage, welding flux should be baked at the temperature that product manual indicates. It is usually 250-300℃ and 2 hours.

To avoid pinholes, please clean the impurities like rust, oil, water on the surface of joint and areas within 20mm.

Please take away slags, fines inside recycled fluxes. Recycled flux should be used with the addition of new fluxes.

Welding flux must match with wires to guarantee welding performance and mechanical properties. Fluxes for electroslag welding should have proper conductivity, viscosity, high vapourization temperature, good slag detachability, excellent resistance to cracking and porosity.
